ACS Contactless Reader ACR122U-A9

Based on 13.56 MHz Contactless (RFID) technology, the ACR122U NFC is a PC-linked contactless smart card reader/writer. For secure personal identity verification and online micro-payment transactions, the ACR122U is the ideal solution. Other applications of the ACR122U include access control, e-payment, e-ticketing for events and mass transit and network authentication. The ACR122U also comes complete with an optional stand to hold the smart card reader at an optimal angle, allowing users to tap their contactless cards or NFC-enabled devices onto the ACR122U with complete ease.

Compliant with the ISO/IEC18092 standard for Near Field Communication (NFC), this device not only supports MIFARE and ISO 14443 A and B cards but also all four types of NFC tags. Also compliant with both CCID and PC/SC, this plug-and-play USB device caters for interoperability with a range of different devices and applications.

The ACR122U features an impressive access speed of up to 424 kbps and a full USB speed of up to 12 Mbps. This allows the device to read/write at a quicker, more efficient pace. Depending on the type of contactless tag in use, the proximity operating distance of ACR122U is up to 5 cm.

For an increased level of security, the ACR122U can be easily integrated with an ISO 7816-3 SAM slot. Also coming available in module form, the ACR122U NFC Reader permits simple integration into larger machines. This includes POS terminals, physical access systems and vending machines
