Universal Smart Cards can supply both contactless smart cards such as Mifare or standard proximity cards such as HID that are embedded with the Sun Ray Chip. Sun Ray Software allows users to configure their Sun Ray Solution so that 'smart cards' can be inserted in and out of the Sun Ray to move from one Sun Ray client to another and resume their desktop sessions with instant right-where-they-left-off access. Think of freezing live TV and then driving to your friend's house to restart the program in the exact same spot. That's what you get with Sun Ray Virtual Display Clients. Hot Desk mobility lets you pull your Smart Card out of one Sun Ray Client without saving or pausing anything on your desktop and move to another Sun Ray Client-across the office, down the hall, in the conference room, or across the ocean, wherever there's an authorized network connection-without losing a single thing.
