Magnetic Stripe Cards

Magnetic stripe cards date back from the early 1960's and have evolved with several options available. Universal Smart Cards can supply cards to ISO Standards with all manner of personalisation options available depending on your budget and security requirements. The magnetic stripes can be placed in several positions and you can have more than one on a card. Magnetic stripe cards are measured in Oersteds (Oe). This is a measure of its coercivity which is how difficult it is to encode information on the magnetic stripe.

The most common are hi-co (4000 Oe or 2750 Oe) and lo-co (300 Oe).

Magnetic stripe cards can have all the options of standard PVC cards.
